THE FIRST ORIGINAL GREEK “KANTINA” TAKES GERMANY BY STORM

Are so-called food trucks a concept from USA? Greece’s food trucks, named „Kantinas“ exist since the 60s. In the 70s the concept boomed. At most beaches and in most parking lots you could find a Kantina that is selling Greek delicacies. But not everyone was able to obtain a business license. In most cases they were reserved for the needy, for example those who were disabled due to war injuries or families with many children, etc. Until this day it is not easy to receive a business license in Greece.

Merakles; Meraklis; Enthusiast; He, with a passion for everything he does. He, with good taste and appreciation for beauty. He, who loves the finer things in life and everything, that has been artfully and passionately crafted. 

 

My role model … Georgios Delisavvas the First. He had the most beautiful garden with the most delicious fruits and vegetables in all of our village. He prepared the best salads and the tastiest „Tiganias“ (meat stews). A good-hearted man, a handsome man, a loved man.
